Santa floss is coming to town! Tis’ the season to spread joy & celebrate the holidays! But spreading joy shouldn’t mean you should slack on your healthy routines! We know this season can be busy and stressful so we’re checking in with an important reminder to practice self-care this holiday season.
Even something as simple as taking the time out of a busy day to make sure you are following your hygiene routines can relieve stress and allow you to re-focus on your wellness.
Here are some quick and easy routine reminders fro
m Dr. LoPresti! Consistency is the key – find what and when works best for you in terms of your daily hygiene routine. First, make sure you are getting in your 2x brushing and 1x flossing per day. There are so many different options for flossing so consider a few types of floss to find the one that is easiest for you. My personal favorite is GLIDE from Oral B! It always leaves my mouth feeling fresh and healthy. The holidays typically mean big feasts – so remember to floss to get rid of all that extra sugar from your tasty meals.
We recommend getting into a habit of flossing at the same time EVERY DAY so it becomes habitual to your day – even when you’re busy. Here are a couple of options of convenient times to work this into your day…
Remember that making flossing part of your routine will keep your teeth and gums healthy for life!
Finally, aside from brushing and flossing you want to make sure you are replacing your toothbrush every 3 months. This is the most commonly overlooked tip of oral routine and it’s so important to make sure you are switching your brush for maximum cleanliness! Manual toothbrushes or electric both get the job done, but in our experience we find the electric brushes to be better for most people. Looking for a last minute gift option for yourself or that special someone? We’ve got electric toothbrushes in our office for sale! They make the PERFECT stocking stuffer.
